Almaz Teklu

Refreshing, sparkling, thirst quenching, versatile, clean, bright - the list goes on. This excellent lot from a single producer in Chelchele is fine example of a long-established coffee growing region. Processed at the local Chelbessa washing station in the clean water grain channels, the quality and clarity in this coffee is a fantastic representation of Ethiopian terroir. 

Almaz Teklu is not only a speciality coffee farmer but is a mother of five, tending to her crops that are shaded from hot African sun by Acacia trees and Sudan Teak.  Her skill and commitment to picking ripe heirloom varietals hits differently in this "kaffa" (coffee).
